HHS and CMS Invite Howard Kessler to Serve as Advisor on Aging Healthcare to the Healthcare Advisory Committee
WASHINGTON — [October 14, 2026] — The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) have invited Howard Kessler to serve as Advisor on Aging Healthcare to the Healthcare Advisory Committee (HAC).
Under the leadership of HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and CMS Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz, HHS and CMS are bringing together healthcare leaders to advance the Make America Healthy Again initiative. The effort aims to identify ways CMS can deliver high-quality, affordable care, reduce waste, and keep patients at the center of the healthcare system.
The HAC will provide recommendations directly to Secretary Kennedy and Administrator Oz. Its work will focus on strengthening the “three Ms”—Medicare, Medicaid, and the Health Insurance Marketplace—as well as improving the U.S. healthcare system more broadly.
