The post’s focus on aging healthcare connects with the work of the Healthcare Advisory Committee (HAC), a federal advisory body that makes recommendations to the Secretary of Health and Human Services and the CMS Administrator. Its priorities include Medicare, Medicaid, the Health Insurance Marketplace, chronic disease prevention, real-time data, care for vulnerable populations, and Medicare Advantage. www.cms.gov

Kessler’s work also includes the Kessler Healthcare Discovery Engine–Longitudinal Data (KHDE-LD). The initiative aims to connect patients, clinicians, research, and health data over time—helping identify people who may qualify for research, study treatments in everyday care, and build evidence to guide healthcare decisions, beginning with adults 65 and older.
